iPhones in Space: STF Episode 10

Episode 10 of the SpaceTaskForce.
Tim is back in studio to talk about his recent space adventures.
We also have a special guest from NASA's Ames Research Center to talk about the role you can play in the NASA CoLab website.
My big question this week is - what if they'd had an iPhone during Project Apollo? Would we already be on Mars?
That and a Shuttle Launch Experience on this week's SpaceTaskForce.

Space Task Force Episode 8

A very busy week in space. We cover developments on board the International Space Station and the mission of Space Shuttle Atlantis. Tim talks about watching a top-secret launch from his driveway and the launch of a new movie dedicated to the Apollo astronauts. For me - it's all about decorum in Zero-G (Bach versus Korn) and oceans on Mars (wonder what a Mars shark would have looked like?).

But wait - there's more -- don't miss our review of - Mr. Bailey goes to Washington.
All ahead on Episode 8 of the Space Task Force.

Crazy Cloud

Check this out. Heading out of the Media Center for a final shot of the VAB at sunset - there was this incredible cloud. Looks like the rocket trail from Atlantis collapsed on itself. Wow.

Pillar of Suns

The sun rose twice at the Kennedy Space Center this June 8, as Space Shuttle Atlantis began its mission to the International Space Station. Atlantis took off right on time into a clear beautiful sky, with a flame so bright it was hard to look at.

I was down by the countdown clock and flag. Picture perfect. Wow. Thanks to National Geographic's Susan Poulton for this great shot.

Tim Bailey was down at Banana Creek. We'll share our experiences with some special guests and surprises next week on the Space Task Force Podcast.

Don't forget Episode 7 just below these shuttle posts and also right to the right of this post. Frank Miller talks about World Space Expo - and Nicky Jordan talks about the 2007 X PRIZE Cup.
